VA – Further Complications 200/9

So another year of life, love, happiness, sorrow, family, friends and art has passed, and here I am collecting a few of my favorite musical moments from it. It felt like a strong year for music, but then don’t they all in the moment—at least moreso than on reflection. There will be no succinct tracklisting this year, just a list of featured artists because this mix is a bit more of a mess than usual. At least, it feels more like a soup to me than maybe a traditional tracklisting would indicate—and heck, a little bit of surprise can be fun.
Anyway, enough beating that recalcitrant horse, on to the music. Thirty tracks in seconds under an hour, featuring: Jarvis Cocker / Solange / Tim Hecker / Tortoise / Diamond Watch Wrists / Volcano Choir / Whitney Houston / Phaseone / Prefuse 73 / Yeasayer / Joakim / Dirty Projectors / Fontän / Chris Clark / Animal Collective / Taken By Trees / Tyondai Braxton / Toro Y Moi / Bibio / Vowels / Stephan Mathieu / Risil / Lindstrom & Prins Thomas / Son of Sound / Hudson Mohawke / Broadcast & The Focus Group. Enjoy.

Looking forward to this, but I wish there was a track listing with song titles in case I fall in love with something and need to track it down …

I doubt there will be many surprises, but if there are just ask!

A hundred and fifty downloads so far, and only two comments. Well, I just want to die.

Appreciate the time put in this. So far, it sounds great but I have agree with Paige.

Thanks, I suppose I tried to be sneaky and left the tracklisting vague to get some conversation/questions/comments going—I guess that didn’t work.

I will say that I love how different many of the tracks are. Alot of these mixes, while having great music, tend to walk a narrow path and this one differs. And I love it for that.
