Endless Numbered Mixtape #29: Godley & Creme “Cry”

10cc and Godley & Creme stuff is generally too gaudy, vaudevillian and campy for me but they certainly do hit the occasional high-mark (“The Things We Do For Love,” “I’m Not In Love”). “Cry” is, although a much lesser-known track, another one of those moments.

The video was considered fairly ground-breaking at the time, sort of a primitive precursor to the face-blending technology used at the end of Michael Jackson’s “Black or White” video.
