The Summer Never Ends #3
Jens Lekman just made a fun new mix available on his website, entitled “The Summer Never Ends #3″ and it includes songs from Nicolette Larson, an Italo-disco children’s choir called Baby’s Gang, Cat Stevens, late ’60s one-hit-wonder rock group American Breed, Alicia Keys, and snippets of new music from Jens Lekman himself.
It’s a great mix that inhabits similar territory to the Avalanches’ Since I Left You—very good stuff. Just like last time, I’ve thrown together some makeshift cover art (you’re a handsome devil Jens, but a photo of you will never do for mixtape art).

Thanks, Mike. I think it turned out pretty good, too. I just didn’t spend a whole lot of time on it last night (it was late, I was tired), so I felt obligated to be self-effacing.
But sometimes the best work comes out of strict time limits.
