Having just returned from a beautiful 8-day Hawaiian (75º & sunny each day) getaway with my fiancée, coming back to 9º, snow drifts and a snotty cold has got me yearning for Summer (or at least Spring). It was with that in mind, that I compiled this mixtape last night.
I think this may be one of my favorites, in terms of quality front-to-back, and it came together in about 1/10th of the time it usually takes me.

Bonus points if that’s actually a photo from inside your house.

hmm…i just realized that it was probably the original laura branigan version of ‘self-control’ that i was recalling, not this particular D.J.K. rendition. i was probably seven or eight years old when branigan’s song was playing on the radio.
anyway, even though it’s not the one that was stored away in my memory, i like the D.J.K. version!
