Au Revoir, 2010

Au Revoir 2010

Here it is, another year-end. Which means it’s time for that ubiquitous year-end mix. This collection doesn’t necessarily reflect my “20 Favorite Songs of 2010″ because I was going for cohesiveness rather than completeness this time around. And anyway, you already hear all the Arcade Fire you need to hear, so I might as well try throwing something out there you might not have heard a thousand times already.

5 initial thoughts just after looking over the tracklist:

    1) this thing looks like it’s sure to be a f#@/<'n great mix.
    2) love the inclusion of one of those die neue mythologen remixes (they're all so good).
    3) haven't heard the studio remix of that arp track, so i'm looking forward to hearing that for the first time.
    4) can't wait to hear how you've blended these all together.
    5) acid reign (in the trees mix)…what a way to go out!

  2. Aaron says:

The blending didn’t turn out as well as I would’ve liked, but I was more limited here in what tracks I had to work with than I normally am. It’s better at the beginning, but falls into a more traditional fade-in/fade-out at times.

    Enjoy! Hey, where’s your year-ender?

  3. mikejonze says:

ah-hahaha. i don’t know if i’m doing one of those. i may put together some kind of shortlist, though.

  4. Bronwyn says:

A-Trak? Nice. I’m excited to hear Francis & The Lights as well as Games which I missed out on but know a few of you think highly of them.

I keep forgetting to say how much I enjoy this layout. There, I said it. :)

  5. Aaron says:

Thanks, Bron! Let me know if it turns you on to anything new! Also, I didn’t know you had a website… adding it to my friend links!

  6. Jed says:

Killed it! I need to check out Arp and Games.
